Whiskey Fest, Chicago 2012

I skipped the enormous Scotch selection and stuck to Bourbons. Favorite tasting booth was Preston and Julian Van Winkle from Pappy Van Winkle. On the flight back I noticed that I was on the same plane as four of today's biggest bourbon names.


Craig Beam. Heaven Hill
Frederick Booker Noe III, Jim Bean
Ken Pierce, 1792 Ridgemont Reserve
And Julian, Old Rip Van Winkle.


And as we took off I thought to myself what would the bourbon industry do
IF this plane was to crash....
